New In: Chi Chi Makeup & Hair Styling Products

Hey everyone! I hope you guys are having a good start to the year because I am. On this post I’ll be showing you my first expenses for 2014!

Last Friday, my older sister and I decided to go to the Elizabeth Shopping Centre because we were getting bored at home. Knowing that sales at stores will be more cheaper, we opted to go shopping.

While looking around the shops, I found out that the makeup set I wanted to buy for ages were on sale at Target!

image

I immediately bought one set and it only cost $12.00. This was originally sold for $25.00. Each individual item’s value would add up to a total of over $50.00, making this buy a big score.

image

I also bought a pack of Scuni hair ties which cost $5.00. I made a mistake in buying these because these turned out to be smaller than the size I wanted. However, I decided not to return it because these will still be useful for me in other hair cases.

image

I also bought a Scuni 90 pack bobby pins for $5.00. I noticed that I’ve been losing all my hair stuff so I decided to stock up just in case I need them in the future.

image

I bought a Leo Bancroft bun maker for $3.00. Yes, I know this one if for blondes. I bought this out of desperation because this was the size of the bun I wanted but the darker coloured ones were sold out. I saw darker, bigger and much more expensive ones at Gloss but the quality of those are not as good as this one. My ultra long hair will cover up this sponge-y thing anyway so no biggie about the color.

image

The last thing I bought was this floral bun wrap for $4.00. I find this expensive but it was too pretty to let go. It was the only one left so I decided to make it mine before somebody else got it first.

I must say that old habits die hard. It’s only been a few days since 2014 came and I still haven’t done any shopping resolutions. I don’t think I ever will. Haha!

Anyway, I hope you liked this post!

X,

Patricia

Happy 2014 to everone!

Sorry about the delayed posts because I’ve been busy with life and such. Anyway, on this post I’ll be sharing with you guys how I celebrated New Year’s Day.

Someone special visited me that day. We ate and watched movies with my family. We eventually got bored and decided to go to the nearby park to take photos! Yayyy!

Here’s selected photos:

New In: The Face Shop Lip Tint, Jayjays Shorts & Supre Top

Last December 30, my Mama came with me to the city because I had to come back for something that Allan and I left behind the day before, and also because my Mama had to meet up with some of her friends from work.

After doing errands, we decided to go to the Citi Cross food court to eat. After eating I decided to pass by The Face Shop, which was one of my favorite stores in the Philippines.

Ever since I moved to Australia, I never bought anything from The Face Shop branch here because I thought their stuff was overpriced, knowing how much cheaper their items were back home. However, on that day, they were still on their “boxing day sale”.

image

I browsed their items and managed to get my hands on this very pretty lip tint. (I’m a sucker for lipsticks and tints!)

image

I got a Lovely Me:ex My Lips Eat Cherry Aqua Tint in the shade Juicy Cherry (NG023). I really love it’s consistency and the way it looks on my lips! It’s sale price is $9.24 but it’s original price was $13.20. I think it’s worth the money, and I got free candy canes together with lovely packaging!

I’ve never really been able to finish a tube of lip product in my whole life, except for The Face Shop lip products.. and I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to consume the entirety of this once school starts.

After going to the city, my Mama and I went to some shops where she got me two pieces of clothing.

image

The first thing she got me was this sheer semi-crop 3/4 sleeved floral top from Supre. What I love about this top are the colours and the way it fits me. I will definitely do a look for this once I have spare time on my hands.

image

The second thing she got me were these red distressed shorts from Jayjays. I love these shorts because of the style and the autumn colour to it. By the way, they only look short, but they’re really not.

I can’t remember how much my Mama paid for these clothes because I just asked her to buy them for me. Our day consisted of walking, public transportation rides, spending money and carrying all of the things we bought.

I had a great day with my Mama and I certainly had fun bonding with her. Family time is quality time. ♥

New In: Chocolate Fondue Set & Eyelash Curler Refills

Last December 29, my boyfriend and I celebrated our monthsary. Our special day fell on a Sunday, and we decided to go to the city.

We heard mass at the Catholic Church in the morning and went to China town afterwards to eat. After that we walked to Rundle Mall and looked around the shops.

I bought this mainly because it was half-priced.

image

I originally wanted a cotton candy maker but they were all sold out. The only choices were a chocolate fountain, a chocolate fondue set, crepe maker, cake pop maker and a cupcake maker. It’s a good thing that these “appliances” have models displayed so you can see how it looks like and what’s included with what. I chose this one because it had HEAAAPS of accessories alongside the fondue bowl.

image

Compared to the others, they were nothing compared to how great this set was for it’s sale price. All the sets were being sold for $6.00 and I believe this is worth more than how much I payed for.

image

The second thing I got were these Kinepin Eyelash Curler Rubber Refills from Morning Glory. I was planning to buy some on eBay for cheaper but I decided to get these ones since I know this brand better the generic ones being sold on eBay. I got this on sale for $1.30.

When Allan and I were on the bus going home, we realized that we left something at one of the shops. We panicked and decided to come back to the city. When we got there the stores were already closed, which means that we had to come back the next day.

Our adventure consisted of running, brisk walking, stressing out and worrying. That day was tiring but fun at the same time. I didn’t really regret that we left something because we got to spend more time together.

Well that’s all.

Patricia
